Seiko celebra 45 aniversario de Galaxy Express 999 con hermoso reloj

Solo 999 relojes estarán disponibles para conmemorar la obra maestra de Leiji

Hace 45 años, Maetel llevó por primera vez a Tetsuro –y a nosotros– por un viaje a las estrellas. Y para celebrar este gran aniversario, el fabricante de relojes Seiko ha creado un reloj Galaxy Express 999 de edición limitada.

Basado en el manga del mismo nombre de Leiji Matsumoto, el anime debutó en 1978 y tuvo 113 episodios. A esto le siguieron varias películas, un OVA, la serie de anime Space Symphony Maetel y el manga actualmente en ejecución Galaxy Express 999 Another Story: Ultimate Journey. Los muchos relatos siguen a la misteriosa Maetel a lo largo de su vida, primero cuando lleva al empobrecido Tetsuro en un viaje para obtener un cuerpo mecánico imperecedero, luego a su propio pasado complicado.

El reloj conmemorativo se inspira en la propia locomotora astral, con la placa de matrícula "999" en la esfera y los medidores insertados que reflejan los indicadores en la sala de máquinas:

La parte posterior del reloj plateado está grabada con una imagen de Maetel, así como el número de su reloj entre el 1 y el 999, que es el tiraje limitado de esta edición. Llega en una caja de coleccionista con el retrato de Maetel en su tapa interior.

Seiko celebrates 45th anniversary of Galaxy Express 999 with beautiful watch

Only 999 watches will be available to commemorate Leiji's masterpiece.

Forty-five years ago, Maetel first took Tetsuro - and us - on a journey to the stars. And to celebrate this great anniversary, watch manufacturer Seiko has created a limited edition Galaxy Express 999 watch.

Based on the manga of the same name by Leiji Matsumoto, the anime debuted in 1978 and ran for 113 episodes. This was followed by several films, an OVA, the anime series Space Symphony Maetel and the currently running manga Galaxy Express 999 Another Story: Ultimate Journey. The many stories follow the mysterious Maetel throughout her life, first as she takes the impoverished Tetsuro on a journey to obtain an imperishable mechanical body, then into her own complicated past.

The commemorative watch is inspired by the astral locomotive itself, with the "999" number plate on the dial and inset gauges reflecting the indicators in the engine room:

The back of the silver-plated watch is engraved with an image of Maetel, as well as the number of his watch between 1 and 999, which is the limited run of this edition. It arrives in a collector's box with Maetel's portrait on its inner lid.
